The Med Pass process contains two elements.  The first is MED PASS SETUP which allows you to select the shift you will be passing medications on and the Med Cart to be used.

The second step displays the list of Residents requiring medications, their room number, the Medication name and dosage that are stored on that Med Cart.

You will note that all Resident name and Med Cart numbers are displayed.  However, any that do not apply to the specified pass will display N/A or completed.

As you select each Resident you will be taken to their Medication Administration display where you will administrate the listed medications.

The following is a description of the item being displayed.

• Staff Signature check box: 
• Date field: This will automatically fill but you may enter a different date if necessary.
• Instructions for administrating the medication
• Dosage to be administrated
• Diagnosis:  Default from the prescription.
• Exception drop down box:  select the approbate item if required.
• Notes:  Enter and explanations necessary:
• Listed under the administration is a list of Medications previously administrated for the current day.

When you save your entries you will automaticly be returned to the Daily Meds Report so you can select the next resident.
